Luncheon Salad

This dish is perfect for those who are trying to get heavy meat eaters who frown on vegetables to TRY to eat some. If their favourite saying is, "Vegetables aren't food. Food eats vegetables." this recipe is for you.

This item will go well with a side dish of warm bread sticks. Serve with your favourite dressing on the side.

  • 1/2 head shredded lettuce
  • 2 large sliced tomatoes
  • 1 large sliced cucumber
  • 10 radishes cut in half (stem and root cut off)
  • 1/2 sliced red pepper
  • 1/2 sliced yellow pepper
  • 1/4 sliced onion
  • 3 slices baked ham
  • 3 slices baked turkey
  • 3 slices crumbled bacon
  • 1 sliced avocado
  • 1 sliced hard boiled egg
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Toss lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, peppers, and onion in a salad bowl. Layer ham and turkey slices evenly over the salad. Sprinkle bacon on top of the meats. Layer avocado and eggs evenly. Sprinkle cheese on top. Serve with favourite dressing on the side.
