Brian is asked to accept a hero's award for saving Justin, but is reluctant to do so until Melanie and Lindsay talk him into it under pressure of the committee. Howard Bellweather, Ted's favorite author, protests Brian's award and is quite vocal about it which causes the committee to be nervous about having Brian accept the award, so they ask Melanie and Lindsay to talk him out of it. Brian sees through them and says he will accept the award. "Gay As Blazes" is the hot new show that realistically portrays the lifestyles of gay people, but is really controversial. Brian doesn't believe any gay man could behave that way. Emmett starts working for men who seem like the politically correct characters from "Gay as Blazes" and worries he has corrupted them. Michael wants to reconnect with Brian at the comic convention.
